Something to lighten the mood

This is a good time of year. Now that the rain has arrived and they can get upstream, some of our finned friends are making more finned friends. As you might know they continue to give after they spawn and die as they are a great food source and also fertilizer. These are Chums. The Coho are coming soon. This is the Coquitlam river about 6km's up from the mighty Fraser river and a total of 40 or so km's from the Salish Sea. (Pacific Ocean)

Bingo, meet rabbit.

No thanks Dad, I'm 16, I can't catch that. Besides, I'd rather play with him than chase him.

What about the geese?

Nah, they'd gaggle me to death. Them's something nasty sometimes. Do you remember when we...

Yes I remember. How about a little music before the game?

Yah, you bet, can I have the one on the left and you have the one in the center. You seem to like Asian women, heck Mommy is Asian. Thanks for bringing me Dad. Am I really allowed in the stadium? I wanna see the Felions. (BC Lions dance team).

Yes my son, you grew up so fast. I hope you live forever so I can show you all the wonderful things I have seen in my life. There's so much more than fish in a stream and girls with pom poms. Be brave my little friend. The end may be nigh but we shall endeavour to do and see what we can during the remainder. You really are this man's best friend.
