There isn’t room for two fingers on either side of the coil shaft.
6L6, with only a thumb and two digits, how on earth do you give someone the middle finger?

The bottom pipe is to slide up / down inside of outer tube with holes for height adjustment. Theoretically, it can work if the right kind of bushings are used on that bottom pipe and the height setting pins removed.I thought I must have missed something. I guess not.
Except that we can see the spring loaded locking ball pins engaged in the bottom holes. I have a pair just like those. A couple of canes to boot. Remove those locking pins only lets it slide. The inside pipes aren’t long enough to connect to the coils.
The only crutches I’ve seen with shock absorbers have the coils below those height adjustment holes On that inner shaft.
Maybe this image can help? Assuming the bottom pipe is long enough. 🤔There isn’t room for two fingers on either side of the coil shaft.

What if, instead of a shock absorber you had the opposite, a solenoid that would give you an extra push ?

The sliding yoke covers the height adjustment device, which is supposed to have spring loaded pins for you to put in various holes, as per your preference.
Ok, Ok, enough of the old technology! Where are the crutches with electronically controlled active suspension and GPS navigation? The only crutches I’ve seen with shock absorbers have the coils below those height adjustment holes On that inner shaft.
I'm certainly not going to sprain my ankle again until those are available.
More like a high-tech gadget you would see in the latest Mission: Impossible movie. Say, given Ethan Hunt's (Tom Cruise) age, he now qualifies for walking assistance device. When he's about to break into a building, he uses it to jump over... 🤔What if, instead of a shock absorber you had the opposite, a solenoid that would give you an extra push ?

The main thing here is nobody has used crutches it seems.
Lighter is better, believe me, it gets tiring if such complex things are used.

My parents both had planned knee replacement surgeries done, and during their post operative recovery they had to use crutches and walkers.
Not something I would like to do, it is quite an experience for those not used to crutches.

There's a reason why a crutch would be heavily modified. It's not for the user comfort. The main thing here is nobody has used crutches it seems.

When I first used IE I had to find it and install it. I remember it being shiny. I think I was on Netscape Navigator 2 at the time.
No. I want you to sit still and download your replacement before I tie you up and throw you in the basement.

Currently trying out "Ungoogled Chromium" on a Linux machine for a week or so. So far, it seems to have no targeted advertising, but it's still early.
