Yes, I believe humans will instinctively identify faces better than anything else. I've seen them many times in things as unexpected as a smudge on a wall.. and once you see it it's hard to unsee it.

It's really incredible what we get to see because half the world always has a camera in hand.
Recognizing association to the human face or any face for that matter is well documented. First time I saw it in T-shirts I think.
Whoever invented the compact cassette did foresee something when he/she designed the center of the reel hub 6-sided pencil size.
