Been there done thatI recommend restoring 2nd hand cars. A nice 1970s-era Lotus, Jensen, Lamborghini, Maserati, Lancia or de Tomaso should be just the ticket. Nothing ever goes wrong there, all straightforward, cheap as chips to fix up.![]()
Such absurdities are relatively new & driven, imo, by the unprecedented growth of billionaires in the recent past. Proof that there are too many people with too much $$ in the world.Have look at what's available commercially, and the "engineering" design choices they've made...

I have heard 3 Backes & Müller BM systems and they are designed for a purpose and not gimmicky at all, pioneers of active loudspeakers -these big BM 100 are obviously meant for driving very large spaces - my pick out of this lot.Have look at what's available commercially, and the "engineering" design choices they've made...

Give me a bass bin of dimensions H 175 x W 34 x D 62 cm like the Piega and I wouldn't bother with 8 inch drivers.I have heard 3 Backes & Müller BM systems and they are designed for a purpose and not gimmicky at all, pioneers of active loudspeakers -these big BM 100 are obviously meant for driving very large spaces - my pick out of this lot.
Unbelievably left off this is the big Piega Line source https://piega.ch/en/products/master-line-source and can fit in reasonable rooms and just sounds incredible - My pick if money was no object
No, only for measurements of 830667HifiCompass,
Any plans for measurements of Peerless SLS 830668/830669 in future?
Wow, really impressive for a driver that sells for $18 at parts express! Not quite as flat FR as the Scanspeak 10F/4424 you measured a while back, but double the power rating with similar <1kHz HD at 8V (tho obviously not as clean at 2.8V)... and you can get 6 of these at the price you'd pay for a single Scanspeak 10F/4424.The measurements of the Lavoce 3" fullrange FAN030.71:

Haven't done that, but am going to build a home on poles on a steep block in a remote location soon...Or old house, fixer upper...
I'd like to see that too. Post Easter when I have some more cash than today, I'll even pay for the drivers.Given how popular the FaitalPro 3FE22 and 3FE25 are, would be nice to see those.
