put a extra clc stage after the 1k 50w resistor ,with a 12h 100ma 190ohm choke, now its hum free even with phono
@Silver7865, sorry for the late reply. I finished it and am very happy with it. In the process of bulding a pair of very sensitive loudspeakers to match it, right now it is driving my Tannoys with 90dB sensitivity, which it is just powerful enough to do. I can not compare it easily to many other amplifiers, but it easily beats my old Onkyo and I also prefer it to the NAD 316 BEE. Different type of sound. Especially on acoustic instruments and voices. I think it is the lack of feedback that does this..
I used the easily availible OPT's from Edcor (GXSE10-6-8K), but I believe there is some gain to get from replacing these with better ones. I also used only low cost capacitors, so there might be more to gain in that department as well. At a later stage I will test this.
The circuit I am reluctant to share, as I believe it is pretty accurate to the commercial product.
