Hello!
Good Day! I have solid audio 1500 watts rms does not have an output. This amp is not in protect state.
I replaced with a new HIP8040 driver but still no output. I have +-12V into op amps. I have a rail voltage of +70Volts.
IC HIP4080 Voltage reading

Pin3 is Disable, you're showing it high which means something external to the HIP4080 is disabling it.
Thank you...
Can I extend my inquiry? May I know what is the function of the potentiometer nearby and what is the correct setting?
The pot is DC offset on similar amps.
Is the red LED lit?
Is the white LED green, red or unlit?
sorry I can't distinguish RED or GREEN, Im a color blind person.
The LED lit on power side and not the protect LED. There is rail voltage and opamp voltages.
During a cold boot, there some thing scratchy noise that you can heard...after a while it gone. then silent...
If this amp has 470K ohm pulldown resistors on the output transistors, you can power it up without the 4080 in the circuit. Does pin 3 go low without the 4080 in the circuit?
Has anything else been done to the amp besides replacing the 4080?
This amp was junk for more than a year. I found some rusty component such capacitors. Yeah without the HP4080 the amp still powered up. I will measure the pin 3 and get back to you.

This amp is fixed! I found cold solder on gate diode. thank you!!!
