Well I managed to scavenge enough bits from what I had got to put this together. Just the power supply to go. I am going to use a bridge rectifier for now. I have a 12.6v centre tapped tranny, will that be enought to drive it?
Hi,
if that 12.6Vac is the loaded voltage, not the open circuit voltage, then you can get a regulated +-12Vdc from it. But, you need +ve & -ve regulators when you use a centre tapped transformer.

I have just switched from my Arcam Alpha 7 to my Shigaclone transport and the sound has taken a noticeable leap forward.
The texture and detail is really quite impressive.

No, but I do have one

I have just popped it in. I will listen to a few tracks and let you know 🙂

I checked the data sheet before inserting the chip and it appeared to be of a similar spec. I am not sure if the circuit has been optimised for the opa. Any ideas?
In the short time I've had it running I think it sounds a little bit crisper... slightly more detailed.
I will now swap back to the OPA to confirm this...back in a mo

stick an oscilloscope on it.
see if there is overshoot at the output, or worse still ringing.
Check for ringing on the supply lines/pins

Thanks Andrew
I dont have a scope
From what I can hear...it doesn't sound any worse
Andrew do you have any recommendations based upon the BOM I previously posted?
I have a OPA2132PA Dual FET op-amp, do you think this is worth trying?
Thanks
Richard
