Have you tried different exit shapes ,keystone? MaybeBuilt it for a friends Tahoe. Fb 26.7hz
the first one was a circle, this one a racetrack. this one doesn't have much of a helmholtz chamber, its more of a tapped pipe with a stepped s3. whatever the case, it seemed to work well. these low motorforce 12's like a lot of breathing room to operate, thats why its so big. one thing i dont particularly like about these deaf bonce apocalypse is their rather atrocious motor and cooling noises. they squeak loudly. so it was nice to have the motor on the other side. honestly aesthetics was what initially motivated the port shape, then it was carefully adjusted for port velocity and removability of the drivers since it is the only access to the inside of the box. that and the 3d printed terminals i made.
Took the money from that sale and bought a couple amps
Right now I’m working on some ath Tritonia speakers. They’re about 70 liters with 12’s tuned to 50hz for a nice bump around 75hz. I want them to match nicely with my hroar for about a 9db gain in the bass region.

I need a dual 4 ohm woofer to accept both channels of the internally bridged nx6000. I found a motor online for 50. The motor without the basket is 60lbs. Soon I’ll have a pile of parts and some glue, and then hopefully a functioning subwoofer.
So you will connect the nx6000 in normal mode, loading channel A with one coil and channel B with the other coil
So channel A and B at 4 ohms
So channel A and B at 4 ohms
NICE model! I really like how that design looks.

Yes. One channel per coil. Probably the best (and least used) feature of dvc subs. You can do this with any 2 amplifiers by gain matching. Typically these full bridge amps are cheaper than half bridge aka “strap-able” amps.
- Home
- Loudspeakers
- Subwoofers
- So i impulse bought a sub. What would you do with it?
