Heya guys,
Well ive been reading for the last few weeks on the posts on the forum. Some of you guys are so knowledgeable. But thought i might get some hands on action (on a very limited budget) so im in the process of making a 1.8inch LCD projector from a 1.8 inch LCD TV and a old slide projector. Im from Australia (Perth) so some of the parts you come by in the States are a lot harder to find around here. But im doing a step by step guide on what im doing, so that others can follow. And also placing where to get the parts in Australia. But anyway thanks all of you for the ideas and check out www.diylcd.tk for the walkthrough guide (just saves me writing it up more than once) hope this isnt against the rules.. apologies in advance if it is. Hope to see some of the fellow Aussies! 😛

Finished it and i am quite suprised with the results. They are a lot better than i was expecting. Just to know everything updated on the website (listed above). Come and have a look. Here are some of the photos i took. There is also a video on the website above.

What's the resolution of the LCD? looks a bit low, but hey, cool and compact DIY pj. Any idea on what's the lumen output for the bulb in the slide projector?
Cheers, I could really tell you the resolution as the instruction manual doesnt suggest it. Yes it is low but hey i only paid $20US for it. All you would have to do is have a higher res LCD. About the lumens i bought it second hand so it came with no instruction manual and i havent looked on the net. But the model is: Reflecta Diamator A Slide Projector, try googling it and seeing what you come up with..
