I think I just further delay the EyeSee 🙁
Nope , the "eyesee" is also on the sprint layout block NOW.
Same as the kyptons , 2 at once !
One fully IC based , one for IC haters.

Good work !!
I am looking forward the rest of the test resaults cause I was dealing with very similar setup and I got similar problem with clipping at higher freq's. Maybe it needs a few diodes more to fix up the clipping. Looks like amp is a very fast beast.

Hi borys ,yes i see bad clipping figure at 20Kz but i see high current VAS also.thimios

Probably some modification is necessary.

Nice test , Thimios - and beautiful work/craftmanship.
There are a few more things that can be done to tame this "beast". 😀
-R7/8 100R ... lower the gain slightly.
-lower the value of R6 ... increase lag compensation.
-Apply lag between Q5/6 and Q7/8 collectors - 100pF to 470pF.
This is done on many of the similar Japanese designs.
OS
I mentioned earlier that it clipped funny. I guess it is confirmed now that Thimios has found the same thing.
Thimios, did you have to use csp?
Thimios, did you have to use csp?
He has them - used the updated board (below - red arrows).Did it work without csp?
Thimios - just increase R12 = 680R to lower VAS "rough" current.
Then R21 can "fine tune" it further.

OS, and others please give me a comment of my simulation here: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/solid-state/264732-new-output-stage.html
I'd be scared of a baxandall driver setup. But I never simulated or built one.
Scared of CFP's, too... ""EF man" , all the way.
OS
Only some parts left for 2pair OPS , CFA-X and Kypton-C. I will use a +-36V DC (2x24Vac 200VA toroid) and i have some questions. The configuration i used for the output stage is 56pF/500V ceramic type for C107, C109, MJE340-350 for predrives,2SC4793-2SA1837 for drivers and 2SC5200-2SA1943 for final transistors.
Do R101,R102, R08,R109 have to be changed for +-36V rails?
Can i use BD139,BD140 for Q101,Q102?
I have some 2SD669A,2SB649A bought from ebay but i dont now whether they are fake or not.I have KSC3503 -D ,KSA1381-E with different hfe group classification. Should i use KSC3503 -D ,KSA1381-E ,even with different hfe,in Kypton -C and for CFA-X VAS or should i use 2SD669A,2SB649A from ebay??

Terry without csp you will have a nice oscilator at 19MHz.😱
Yes i used 22pf.
Ok OS i will try this tomorrow and i report again.
forgot to mention that isn't any position for this R41=47K.
Is this resistor recommended? If so we can put this at solder side

My answer is YES 100%. I do have original but only one pair.
I do purchased from Ebay (based on the picture on the ad those were original but he sent me fake)
Not the same pieces was advertised or shown on the picture.
I did ask big panda😀 if he will send the actual item he advertised or seen on the picture before I placed the order. His answer was YES and he still sent me fake garbage

Greetings

Tie R41 to D11 or D12 . You might not need R41 if your servo offset settles
quickly already.

Thimios and Still4given.
Yank the superpair !!!
Kypton V is a sub PPM amp !!
(below) - read the notes and make the circled changes.
PS-you might really like this amp !!

EFA /EYESEE progress ...
Both are a real pleasure to lay out !! 🙂
The "wilson hawksfords" on the eyesee are compact , all 3 to-92's can be
"wrapped in copper " (thimios 😀 ).
I'll use 220uF decoupling for the IC supplies and place the .1uF and 12V cascodes real close to the chip.
Lots of room left over for a big FAT audiophile capacitor 🙄.
