So I recently purchased a skar 2000.1d, knowing it had been damaged. The output had been shorted out at almost max output, yet the damaged was surprisingly minimal. There is however a resistor that burnt up, and I've had no luck finding any schematics, and simply got PFO'd when I reached out to skar. Does anyone have one of these handy that can take a look for me? It appears to be labeled R99. I hope this is in the right section. Thank you all for reading!

Well that was simple 😂 Thank you for that. Do you have a schematic for it by chance or just have and/or worked on one?
Fair enough. If I have further questions, would it be better for me to just post them here or message you privately? Provided you don't mind that is 😬
Well, after bridging that link, removing/testing every MOSFET on the board (the 8 diodes and voltage regulators as well) and the removing/checking the main caps, I can't identify any other problems with this thing... Nothing is burnt, and at idle (with the protect light on) it only draws about an amp. I know it's a shot in the dark, but does anyone have any suggestions? I really don't know where to go from here...
That resistor can burn for various reasons. Commonly:
Shorted transformer (primary to secondary)
Speaker output shorting to ground
Shorted transformer (primary to secondary)
Speaker output shorting to ground
Ok, I will check both of those. The one thing I didn't pull off and test of course... I honestly expected there to be obvious damage, since it was shorted at almost full power.
So the negative output of the amp has a direct short to the negative terminal. I would assume that's not good? 😬
That's normal. It's connected to the secondary ground. If you remove the resistor you replaced, you'll find that the short is eliminated. The resistor you replaced connects the primary and secondary grounds.
Ooh, alright. Thank you very much! Still haven't had a chance to look at the transformers yet, hopefully on my upcoming weekend though. I really appreciate the help
Whatever you do, don't remove or desolder the transformers. It could make troubleshooting more difficult.
