For those who love SIT transistors and are ready to pay high prices for obsolete Sony parts, here is a manufacturer of SIT transistors:
Pulsed Power SiC SIT | Microsemi
Moreover, these are SiC transistors, therefore more powerful and faster than the silicon ones.
This one is a bit expensive at $2,457.5967:
0405SC-2200M | Microsemi
and you must buy 5 of them from Avnet for a total of
$12,287.9835
But one can build a beast of an amplifier with 5 of them in parallel.
One could build a similar amplifier to FirstWatt SIT-1 which would put several hundred watts as output ! 😱

My mistake, the second one

is not a SIT but a power JFet.
It might still be used for audio, for example in a single ended configuration.
It's a tiny bit more complicated to use in single transistor amplifier, one might need to use negative feed-back.
With a SIT one can build a single transistor, no feed-back amplifier like this one:

which is the purest form of audiophile amplifier ! 😛

Just took a look .... Interesting device and as zm points out, the naming convention is curiously similar to the semisouth 120R100. A word of caution though - the Infineon part is adepletion mode device. So if you just sub it into a design intended for the semisouth you will get errr fireworks.....

Sorry Alex, SJEP120R100 are enhancement SIC Jfet, SIT are depletion type.
Try any schematic in Pass Forum or you can modify any schematic with mosfet OPS.
