Salas,
I did my conversion to the folded and the results are outstanding! Lower noise floor and better sence of timing. Very recommended 🙂
My MC is .47 output.

Cheers, nothing much for Andy from a land down under where women glow and men plunder.🙂
I always thought the words were "from a land down under where women glow and men chunder"!! 😀
You'll have to Google "chunder". 😀 (Also known as "the technicolour yawn". 😀 )

Andy
I know chunder, what is zombie btw? Some word for strong pot? They start in a fried out combie with hilarious hair and weary in the classic video.
You used to have the MM with SUT? Now you converted to full MC folded? K369 or 170s?
Yes, I dropped the transformers earlier and increased gain. I used two 170's with 4.9ohm on each source. I did have to adjust R3 a little to hit the range for VR1.

Aha - it is "Kombie", not zombie, Salas. A "Kombie" was - still is - one of those VW vans which you could convert into a car to go camping in. And "fried out" means stuffed - ie. mechanically on its last legs. 🙂

Andy

Nice. Completely new board, or you just did a rework?
