I would also like to mention that big gains in sound quality, sometimes bigger than fancy components on the RIAA, can be gained by clean records!
I can't imagine how I could live so long without a record cleaning machine!
Agree🙂
Hi Salas
I have some MUR3020WT around ... these are three leg diodes with a common cathode... Can I connect both anodes and use them as "normal" rectifier diodes ?

I have upgraded a bennic xpp coupling cap with a obbligato gold
for my surprise the sound become less transparent, bass Is rough not controlled
the only little improvement are better highs resolution
that Is for about 25 hrs listening
do you think obbligato have time to burn In to play better

IMO forghet to switch the FiFI off for a week and report back Please
I was going to try them so...

See what happens in a week's time, if not satisfied yet try to bypass with FT-1 22n Russian small size Teflon. Only check those before you install for their leads condition. Test value is normal & not breaking signal with a little shake. Kept in Red Army logistics for many years.
All those you mention are good bypass caps. Don't care much if smaller than 1/10 to the output cap's value. Just try all of them in what you can find. You don't meet FT-1 easily in 47nF or 470nF offered last time I had looked. 0.1uF FT-2 is nice too.
Salas
I am reading In other sites that FT-1 Is very good but some users said that values up 0,015 uF are not recommended for coupling because teflon colour sound

Hi samoloko
Bypassing is not very simple... you must experiment until you find what subjectively suits your system best.
IMO teflon does not colour... it is quite linear.
I had good results with very small silvr micas (10 to 15pF)or slighty larger styroflex.
Teflon excels in spatiality....

Hi RCruz
thank you for reply

If you are looking for bass try Auricap MKP with the high voltage possible make by the manufacturer bypassed with a small teflon.
P.S. I owned also Obbligato Gold.

what are your impressions with obbligato gold
I have several builds with obbligato gold... I like those a lot, sweet extended trebble, no harshness at all. Good overall caps. A big upgrade from amphom and lower quality MKP like Mundorf MKP.
I bypassed the obbligatos 4u7 with some smaller 47nF obbligato gold with good results.

Its all in the PDF linked from post #1. The mods you see I breadboard lately are not properly developed or confirmed positive yet. But some parts I needed are on their way.
Hi Salas
Is about time I get to build a proper version of the Simplistic
