No question, but the Chinese are affordable (for me), not the top-of-the-range German ones.

Speaking yesterday with Erno Borbely about passive I/V resistor for Buffalo II I ask him about the capacitor value to block DC after the resistor, Erno said that the right value will be choose depending the impedance where was connected, I remembered that I own his balanced lineamp & he answered that the right value will be 10uF.
All this explanation is about how to know the right output capacitor value for Phono RIAA, mine Borbely balanced lineamp + Phono RIAA will work better with 10uF instead 3.3uF?

Erno Borbely isn't American, he is Hungarian, lived in Norway, U.S.A. & other countries as I know, actually lives in Germany.
Just one word: Dynaco
You can shout Hafler even, but Merlin is listening to records now. He is very happy with his remote sensing success. http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/powe...ic-salas-low-voltage-shunt-regulator-224.html
RIAA setup
While the Vishay comes I used several Koa & Xicon (both carbon film) to match the RIAA & changed several silver mica caps, mine setup now is:
Left channel
R3 47K // 1.8Meg Koa-Xicon = 45804R
R4 6k8
R5 1Meg Caddock MK132
C2 46.3nF + 324pF (marked 330pF) + 99 pF (marked 100pF) = 46nF723
C3 15.6nF + 330pF + 47pF + 47 pF = 16nF024
Right channel
R3 46k8 + 200R in series // 1.8Meg Koa-Xicon = 45804R
R4 6K79 + 10R in series = 6k8
R5 1Meg Caddock MK132
C2 46.4nF + 320 pF (marked 330pF) + 3 pF = 46nF723
C3 5.6nF + 330 pF + 47 pF + 47 pF = 16nF024
Super I get the exact values of Kabusa RIAA matching
R = 3.300 + 45.804 (47k//1Meg) // 1.000.000 = 46.805 (input Kabusa R1)
If you ask Kabusa calculator for R1 46.805 compute:
R2 Kabusa (Riaa R4) 6805.784 ohms (I have 6k8)
C1 Kabusa (Riaa C2) 0.046723 uF (I have 46nF723, exact value)
C2 Kabusa (Riaa C3) 0.016024 uF (I have 16nF024, exact value)

The "massimo simplistic star ground" works like Messi
Does the "simplistic star ground" work?
Next step: "star power"
Take a look what's going on and..... enjoy!

60dB gain should be enough for your system? Because without source resistor bypass you must be at around 60dB at the moment.
Yes I have enough for mine system with loudspeakers, for headphones I'm using the Borbely balanced lineamp so possible need a headamp dedicated to get full perfomance of the Sennheiser HD600.
