Simplistic NJFET RIAA

Very weird, I can't duplicate those linking errors on all my desktop PC browsers or on my Android 10 phone. Clear browser cache. Ask Farell to mail you everything you need if nothing else will work.

Build guide for UFSP is 6L6 who pledged to make a photo steps one. But meanwhile its straightforward for you with a big kit, just populate what Mike has presorted.
 
I will proceed very cautiously. These boards, and all of Teas boards for that matter are very high quality, nice and thick. Very difficult to unsolder!

If necessary, I will contact said member for a copy. In a few mins, I will be back in office and will try the computers there. I have never had this link hocus pocus before, and fact that Teabag also experienced the same glitch makes me think it's not entirely on my end, but there is no denying others don't experience the glitch.

Just got back to office, new laptop, same problem. Now to try desk top...same problem. Well that's 4 devices on 3 different wifi system....don't think this is on my end.

To those whom the links work, are you using windows, or are you using other than windows? Macs, etc.

The only link that works in THIS thread is the one Teabag posted for me re BOM, in post #18523.

Also the member who linked to the enclosure thread made one that works.

If someone could similarly link the new version guide it would be much appreciated.

New Build Guide

I have followed all of the links in the post, All of post #1, All of post 17791, All of them work on my end. On several computers.


You mention a "New Build Guide" , I don't think there is one. The only Build Guide I can find is the "PDF" file in post 9980.
I would love it if there is a "New Build Guide"


Of course if there is a New Build Guide and I have somehow missed it.........?

Post #17791 has all info anybody will need to put together and set up the latest UFSP version from pre-selected active parts. As many builders already successfully did. When there is a weird linking problem for some users please go there manually.

I just reported it to Jason the admin so to investigate if its a forum platform related linking bug and try fix it
 
This is the link I thought would be of interest, I'm going through this thread, hoping to see wiring/grounding info like in the older version, maybe helpful pics and so forth. I'll figure it out.

What does this mean

I am dusting off my old record collection in anticipation of getting my first TT sounds by the end of the year. I am slow.

On the back album cover of my Buffalo Springfield Retrospective recording is a box with the RIAA logo and "This is a stereo recording. For best results observe the R.I.A.A. high frequency roll off characteristic with a 500 cycle crossover."

Can someone explain how this crossover stuff works. I obviously don't associate 500 cycles with high frequency.

I now have the RAW PS done, not tested but assembled. Starting in on other boards and have two questions.

I have a bag of six small red 2.5 wima caps. Looking at various pics, the only place I see something similar is in position C2Y, but BOM (and schematic from 17791) show 190 to 390 pF. What are the 6 2.5 Wimas for? I'm sure I am looking at something wrong. My meter reads 9.8 nF, Which I dont think is correct, have no idea how accurate this meter is...and I dont see that value called for!

LED orientation. Long leg positive, and using multimeter buzz function for continuity gives buzz between ground and first square hole, all others silent.

Am I safe to assume long leg to round hole? (positive hopefully) Basic question I know but I dont want to unsolder 4 of those dudes.

Square pads are for LEDs cathodes (short legs).
Those Wimas should be C2Y pF options to taste.
Various carts HF response and TTs setup details differ, that's why.
But most builders report they are happy enough with selecing the midway 220pF among them.
