How is it going? You played many records by now? Focused on some specific cart model for Xmas yet?🙂Yes another trannie I had to 🙂 its worth it to get it dead right
It's great played a lot of my old stuff ,fitted psu in a box .yes that denon 110 looks like the one lots of reviews Amazon etc . Was thinking that maybe I would look around for a better amp than my p101,the honey badger looks interesting any views I plan to give my son the valve amp
So if I got a trannie with two 36vac outputs it could be ok. But the best way is to go for two separate trannies. Got it 🙂
I want the best way, so I will get another trannie!
Thanks!

Ordered the second R-Core 🙂
Now we wait.
Got two nice cabinets from HiFi2000 to work with so I'm moving towards finishing those for now 🙂

Power Supply readings
Just powered up my ps. Two Triad VTP-36-1390 transformers. The 5W1RJ resistors shown on the first page of T-Bags post are installed at R/R Link. Readings same for both channels: 21.0 vac, 28.2 vdc. I can double the dc output to 56 vdc by wiring in series. (US mains.)
What should I be seeing?
Thanks.

45-50V DC on each Raw board's DC output when loaded at about 100mA each will be long term safe for voltage and not that hot on the sinks. You can dummy load those outputs with about 500R 10W each and revise your RD/Link resistor values until in ballpark with your Tx and mains as a pre-test.

Series or parallel, either ok?
Your Tx are a 18+18 VAC nominal dual secondary model and you got a pair right?
If yes, wire the two secondaries in series on each. That makes one 36 on each. Connect each 36 to each ACin on the raw board. Measure DC out loaded.
I am guessing you will end at about 20 Ohm (2W-5W) RD/Link or little more because you already hinted on 17% stronger Tx than nominal when unloaded, and the load here will not be that strong.

Yes, two tx. I wired one on series and got 56 vdc on that side. Should be able to knock that down to 45-50,
Opening and Reading your asc files, please
Dear RCruz,
I appreciate your post. I did try open and see your pictures. Do you recommend an application (free) in order to open and read your files, please?

Cabinets
Hi,
I am using two Galaxy Maggiorato cabinets with the option "invisible front plate fixing".
Hi SjoerdSmits,
What cabinets are you using, from HiFi2000, please? (#15165)

Trannies
And the second trannie arrived! That was REALLY fast! Ordered it last sunday!
Just waiting for the Neutrik 5 pin connectors and power inlet filter thing and we're good to go!
That's the hard part for me is waiting 🙂 I want the parts yesterday 😀

That's record time delivery for that vendor. Weird to sort out a shipping that fast I mean because sending from France to Holland isn't a long distance. Good for you.
The first one took over two weeks so I was prepared for a similair delivery time. This was a nice surprise 🙂 and I just received an email that the remaining stuff is on the way and will be delivered tomorrow! I am hoping to finish the project this weekend. Ofcourse I will post some pictures during the process 🙂
