Simple SE Sit Amp

Very cool! I like the idea of the OS being modular like the FE. Maybe this will be the last ‘amp’ I’ll ever ‘need’ 🙂
All this talk about the upcoming amp has me thinking about Zen and Audio. There's already a book written about Zen and motorcycle maintenance, and one probably could write a book about Zen and audio as well.

I think Zen Mod has a point. The closer you get to the audio creation process, the closer you will be to enlightenment, Audio Nirvana. Building a kit is a good start; designing and building your own amp is better. And the closer to Audio Nirvana you get, the less you will want or need another amp.

A little off topic, I guess.

want to have everything ; )

it already is

:clown:

now, (almost) seriously .............. how to decide what is greater gift :

-vast number of projects, Pa gave us , over the years, or

- importance of proper attitude (have fun, ffsake!), or

- both of these, combined

?

what's, then, next amp - reason for joy, or frustration?

pictures attached having nothing with upcoming SIT amp, that's just me having fun, always being behind schedule at least for 3 amps and equal number of preamps

You may be on to something there. Truth be told, I’ve never ‘needed’ a great Hifi, class A amplifier. In fact, some of my best ‘audio’ memories revolve around crappy car stereos or PA systems. But there’s more to DIY audio than just the audio, and to your point, some of the greatest satisfaction I’ve had in this hobby has come from leaving the safety of the instruction book and experimenting on my own. I can only imagine that getting to the level of designing and building your own amp is pure bliss. In the meantime, I need to learn the mathz 🙂
