The QA401 looks like a neat product:

I am using the Focusrite 2i4, also happens to be red but I think can only take 23vpp on the input so I have to add attenuator for anything above 8Vrms.

So after gathering dust for several weeks, I finally completed my though-hole version of this awesome amp.
Dead quiet, kickass bass and excellent dynamics. DC offset is around 5mV on the left and 7mV on the right - pretty decent.
Thank you TimS and XRK!

Hi Donthertzme,
Nice through hole boards. Any chance you can share the PCB lay out!

Amazing craftsmanship. . .

If TimS and XRK are okay with it I'd be happy to post the layout 🙂
It’s a public design so you can post if you want. But if folks want a ready-to-build version that has a low noise PSU already, check out the JPS64 layout over in the GB thread.

Here are the Eagle layout files. I've included 2 versions - the one you see in the picture (100 X 85mm), and one with more readily-available standard SK104-style heatsinks (85 X 85mm). Let me know if you'd prefer gerbers.
I left out the power supply so I could try various power options. But JPS64's complete version is also very good.

Thanks for posting the files DHM. Perhaps Gerbers would also be helpful for many people who don’t play with Eagle at all.
Sorry to bring up an old thread. Im looking for a buffer for a composite amp and tims's first circuit looks very interesting. Will it exhibit any turn on thumps?
No thump - I listened to this the other day with a linear supply with CRC and LDO regulator. It was fine but since it’s a DC coupled output amp it would be wise to use a headphone DC protect and delay SSR unit anyway which would prevent thump.
