there's a maximum of ~7Vac available at the output.
220uF driving 300ohms to 600ohms headphones would be good.
Driving an amplifier stage at line level would also be possible.
I think it is Rane that recommends using 220uF as the blocking cap in 600ohms capable line driving.

This is very similar to SEWA. With such a low bias, the performance is quite good. I tried to increase the bias similar to SEWA (by paralleling 5x 1R5) the performance is very similar, with SEWA slightly better (on simulation). But this one is slightly simpler (in the input biasing)

I didn't notice this is a headphone amp, with different output level... I thought TAD was a speaker 😱
ADD: A quick browsing show that the TAD is a HF driver (?). So this is for multi-amping I believe?

This is very similar to SEWA.

200uF input is too high. 220uF output is too low 😉
My mistake. That was 220 picoFarad on the input and 220 Farad on the
output.
😉
🙄 I suppose 220n would work on the input and 220u on the output would work just fine, driving a compression driver 😀
That one is cool! Would it work realy? Why not use your famous LU1014D triode cell as a Source Follower ?

why hassle with LU for CCS ?

Excellent...
Really? You should ask N.P. if with the R7>C4 combo we form a high pass filter. And, why would we want A HP @ 72KhZ? Or maybe with the R8 it's 144kHz?
Excellent...
Maybe "I'm out to lunch" 😀 But, I would stick to my statement no matter what is hanging on the output.
"it is inefficient to design without sharing, 😎"

considering how scarce they are ........ at least more scarce than any type of servo for CCS
I have them plenty enough , just speaking generally

You can get them easily. And not that expensive compared to some P-JFETs.
Not many people know how to use them properly.
So no shortage of supply.
I don't use servo unless I have to, costs aside.

Does anyone knows the bias of this nice build , and the approx dissipated heat for the two irfp240 .
is an 2x18v 80 VA trafo enought for both channels .
those who have already made that build are welcome to talk about 😉
Tanks for your help
