I have been looking for some time now...no luck yet...Having built up a fair collection of vintage carts, I'd really like to give them a proper inspection when they arrive.
I have tried the USB microscope....eye loop....different magnification methods, nothing that I'd be happy to continue to use.
If you have something you think might work please don't hesitate to let me know.

I made this from a generic Swift microscope with a mechanical stage (can't position stylus freehand), black spray-painted 2x4, and two night light bulbs/sockets. It's basically a clone of the SEK. What you need is the Shure manual with its photos of wear patterns (I found a copy on the web for free years ago). Search eBay under medical and lab equipment category.

Looks good. I'd been wondering about something similar but using a couple of super bright LEDs on goosenecks. I'm inspired to give it a go...
