Whichever is easier mechanically. They are electronically equivalent. So the one that's easier to connect the wires is the better one. With any meter from outside the box they will measure the same. The only small difference is that in the left-hand drawing the green wire carries no current (almost).

I have recently been searching for timbre material for enclosures and I came to know that Nuwood is currently available here. I've made boxes fro MDF and am quite happy with the sound. Does Nuwood have any advantage over MDF in case of enclosures?
