Sealed Multi-Driver vs Multiple Single-Driver Subs

Thanks, that's interesting. Are the drivers opposing? Like: <- | box | -> with driver faces? Or -> -> ? Do you have to change phase for this to work and not cancel out the wavefront? I'm curious how this would work if expanded to 4 drivers in a tall skinny obelisk on a footer. It could still technically lay on its side too with the drivers facing out.

Something like this in your case.

2 push-push SDX10 woofers at the end of this pdf: http://www.planet10-hifi.com/downloads/SDX10-woofPlans-240418.pdf

We built the small one out of 15mm BB, i had to work really hard to get anything in the cabinet to move (that wasn’t supposed to), a dramatic reduction in reactive energy getting into the cabinet:

We have used reaction cancelation on a number of boxes, Tysen V2 among them (now veneered):

Anytime push-push can be used i believe it is well worth considering, especially in subwoofers.

Interesting thanks; great ideas.

I guess my only last hurdle is the idea that my current ported subs tuned at 20hz will have a phase change at 20hz. So adding some sealed cabinets may be a challenge. I've not mixed before. Most folk straight up just recommend against it and just go all sealed. Any practical ways to integrate a bunch of 12" drivers in sealed cabinets like this with my current ported 20hz subs? I suppose if it's too much trouble, I may just explore sealing those subs to make it a non-issue or re-purpose.
