Is there a special reason for attaching g3 to the anode instead of the cathode?
Don't know...I am I suppose a "cut and paste" builder..I "cut and pasted" that part of the schematic from the Randall amplifier by John Atwood.

well my se el34 is finally working
How does it sound? And are those the little 10$ critters from Triodeelectronics? (I have around 5 of those 🙂)

sounds great but i find im going to need to order some chokes.
theres a little hum when it warms up with the volume up or down.

the case was from a solidstate amplifier. this is the first time using it with the lid on and it get way to hot no suprize being se.
i may hit the hardware store and make a deck for it and transfer the parts over. save the case for a preamp 🙁

i didnt make it exactly like the Schematic but close. when i get a chance i would like to make my own Schematic to share.

very low parts count.
