I made some Salas L adapter circuits on placed them on a raspberry pi board outline for my music servers that run Moode Audio. I have made some new ones with a changed component footprint positioning to better suit the other boards in my stack, So the old ones are for sale if anyone is interested. I will list them as I swap out my old ones.
The 2 white connectors supply 5VDC. one has a ptc fuse on it. My Pi running Moode only drew about 500mA. If you were drawing more you might need a bigger heatsink. It was supplied by 9v dc by an old linear wall pack. It has a toggle switch on the 9v input for off and on.

Hi Jim, Im in Australia. Not sure if its worthwile for you with postage costs. But looking for $50 AUD or about 27 pound. I can check out postage costs if you are still interested.
Very cool project. With the external 5.0V jacks, we can assume you are not powering the RPi over GPIO?
Thanks. On that one I first powered the Pi by running 2 connections from under the board where the 5v jack was to the IO to power the pi. I fitted the jack on top of the board later. My other ones power the PI through a header mounted on the board but that is a different layout. As you would know if you power the pi through the IO you dont have some of the protection. I will post some pics later.
