Did you confirm the relay has failed? I thought suspicion focused on the S1-S2 pole of the power switch.
Thank you. I will do that. Need to get a shot of the one in there and see about verifying the specs.
Hello, I wanted to thank everyone who provided me with suggestions and advice. The nicest thing was that everyone was very kind and patient with a novice. That is not so common. An update on the amplifier. I picked it up yesterday. After checking around I brought it to High End Repair in Phoenix. James with his one man operation repaired and or replaced the power switch, a relay, thermister, capacitor and a transistor. He also found an issue unrelated to the switch that could have caused a problem down the road. I do remember seeing one area with a 2x2 inch clear plastic covering a small circuit board which was discolored and browned as if over heated. That was not normal apparently. I thought it was just due to age. He checked the bias and adjusted the offset. 200.00 which I think was very fair although I have no idea what something like this should have cost. I was happy to pay the cost and now the amp is singing again. Thanks again!
