room analyzers

Given what you're getting for the sale price, you can consider the software "free", and of course if you don't like the software, the gear will be perfectly usable with whatever other software you like, REW for example.

The unfortunate aspect is that the included mic is not individually calibrated, but includes a generic calibration curve. Fro the purpose and given the price of the package, it still looks like fairly good value.

I got the miniDSP UMIK-1 for the microphone (USB connection) and U-Control for an audio interface between computer and audio system (USB & RCA connectors plus digital output). The UMIK-1 web site has a lot of information about how to use the mic with REW. I was able to use REW and the microphone to check out my computer speakers (I'm a novice and able to figure it out).

Remarkably good price, which makes me wonder about the mic, since that's what you're really paying for. I haven't tried one, but UMIK-1 looks really good for the money; UMIK-2 seems way better. I've been using iSV-1611, which is great for low level and high level work, having two outputs with 40 dB of extra gain on one channel and a superb capsule. The factory can sometimes do better than the published price. Room EQ Wizard is good, especially if you're not a serious techie. If you can stand some learning curve, Visual Analyser offers a huge amount. Audacity isn't real time but I do a lot of analysis with that as well.

I often wonder how my ears work, getting some room samples will be fun and satisfy a mixture of curious thoughts. And it should tell me if there broken or have decent taste.

I almost completed my 2.4 setup. There never finished, but you know. I need two clean pounding sealed subs which are next, last but not least. Nearly there. I'm actually aiming to put one per corner. But one and onward will sound good in this room. Totaling 4, roughly in the rectangular shapes corners. Unless a + position works out better.

Stand is very light and flimsy, cheap. It will likely break, so eventually will have to be replaced.
Otherwise mic preamp box is nice solid, all cables are long enough and of good quality. Mic comes with calibration, no complaints there. Its smaller and lighter than umic or behringer I have.

Software is room modes oriented, measures in three room positions. Has absolutely nothing in common with REW.
You get what you pay for. Seems useful to me. I can see that I have two big room modes, one around ~20Hz, and ~65Hz. That 65Hz needs to be addressed. 20Hz maybe. Then there are two smaller modes higher, but not too serious. Overall not bad for open baffle system. I like how my system sounds.
Right now running tube pre with F1J. Used to have AlephJ there. Before it was ACP+ with VFET. Lots of options.
