So, is the problem that pin 14 is waiting 30 seconds to go high?

Yes, sometimes not at all. It intermittent

When pin 14 won't go high, check to see if pin 9 is charging. It has to go above the 5v on pin 8 for pin 14 to go high.

I still have not found anything out of tolerance, It has a stange way of coming on if i touch the 594? the 8.2uf capacitor is good. it just takes a long time to actually cut on and drive the outputs.

Pin 1 of the 393 does not remain at 0 volts when I apply remote voltage. Pin 9 starts at 2.3v and climbs and when it reaches 5v the amplifier fully oscillates. Do you know what the value of c8 is? So yes the problem is pin 9 is staying at 2.5v and very slowly starts to rise.

Pin 9 will not go over 4.75vdc and the amp will not disengage the muting curcuit now. Does anyone know the OEM values of r8, r12, and r11?

According to my info, R8=412 ohms, R11=750K ohms, and R12=300K ohms.

R40, R26 up by the torrid burnt up. Are they 220R. ?
