Hey I have a 240x4 with one channel that emits distorted audio. It'll play but push the cone audio out to the beat and have distortion like staticky. I replace IRF540 and IRF9540 as well as source resistors and gate resistors. Channel won't bias either. I did the same with the right channel only 3 channels work properly. Any ideas what to check?
Drive a 50-100hz signal into it and post a photo of the waveform. Do this with a speaker/dummy load connected.
I found the problem. It a was an smd transistor in the protection circuit that was shorted. Amp works great now.
