Ive tried everything if you so much as probe the rca sheild grounded at main ground, red at rca shield right into thermal protection.
It must be a problem in the bcpd card its the only thing i can think of that would cause an issue like this. Are the cards the same in the 1500-1000 models.?
Perry if i measure voltage i am reading voltage of the shields of the rca input with nothing connected? It climbs up to 4v before switching into thermal protection. Grounded at main ground
So the toroid is a standard 10k thermistor and the p/s and output are the NTC 10k with ring terminal.
I don't think so, I'll reference the amp I have here and let you know. I can't speak for all amplifiers but Rockford generally have no more than mv on the rca shield.
Is it the red or the yellow LED that's flashing briefly?
I have a T1000-1bdcp here and the problem is the protect LED is flashing. The problem appears to be associated with U1. I'll check a bit more carefully when I get into the shop tomorrow.

From a problem on another model, try clamping another non-polarized capacitor in the speaker terminals (n place of a speaker).
If the amp still refuses to come on and play, you may have a shorted inductor. If it does play, you may have a bad capacitor or bad solder connections on it/them.

The amp stops flashing into thermal protection with a cap in the terminal. I can see the 40hz but, the gain is not effective if i turn. The power supply fets are heating up, that is possibly where my current is coming from. The six closest to the terminal. Im going to pull them and test them.
The regulators all have the proper voltage on them.
6.12vdc on the rca sheilds.
