He just died at the age of 79. I think his electronic music is my best memories, even he also was a Aphrodite's Child member.
I hold him in high esteem for the score he did on the original Blade Runner.

First album I ever heard was Spiral. Have played his albums often. He was a genius. RIP.
So sad. Blade Runner OST is one of the best electronic music and original soundtrack ever released.
I'll be missed.
Rip.

Heaven & Hell I used to play a lot (especially to annoy my brother who found it scary). He will be missed!
R.I.P.
Anyway, as this is half a century ago, most probably only older farts like me will remember that he did really ambitious music prior to his solo career.
Best regards!

Another great in the electronic music genre Klaus Schulze died last month too. He was in Tangerine Dream before going solo in the '70s.
All of our greats from the beginning of rock and roll are getting pretty old... there will be sad times on a roll pretty soon. (Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Tom Waits, oh man, so many of them getting older...)

I am sure Vangelis is happy wherever he is. I liked the "The Friends of Mr. Cairo".
One of my heroes.
What, no-one ever watched "The Maltese Falcon"?
In which it is revealed who Mr. Cairo is?

The progressive rock Aphrodite's Child album on Apocalypse is what you mainly refer to?R.I.P.
