Coming from someone who knew him personally, and for almost 20 years, he will be sorely missed.
I met Jeff first in text on the old Madisound BBS forum, around 1999, and then in person about a year later or so because he lived just shy of 2 hours away. I'll never forget hearing his 'Davids' (after his son who was 4 at the time) for the first time, and being totally impressed. Jeff modeled the xover for my first 'serious' build, and I still have the notes-package he gave me for that. He took me under his wing a bit when I was first starting out in the hobby, and I as far from the only person he helped along the way. Remarkable, selfless, generous, humble, honest, teaching, and sincere all describe this man I was lucky to call a friend. This is a true loss of a well admired peer and cohort.
As an example, he used to tell everyone that he wished he could tell them he taught me everything I know, smile, laugh, etc. He did teach me a lot though. Anything I'd bounce his way he'd answer thoroughly.
He loved his family, he loved the Lord, he loved his friends, and he loved designing speakers. My kind of guy.
Jeff- say hi to Matt for me, okay?
See you 2 in a while...

Very sad new for all of us that has built and always learnt something from him.
He was very close and great crossover designer.
Rest in peace.

A very giving and gentle spirit. I wish I had the words to express how sad this is. He has truly left a wonderful legacy that will live on for many, many years.
Oh my goodness. One of the best gone. My sincere condolences to Jeff's family. What that man indirectly taught me was -priceless. His gifts to the DIY community are testament to his skills and willingness to share his knowledge. I still use the various software he developed & will continue to do so. God bless, Jeff. And thank you.
Wow. He was not very old. Terrible news.
Covid 19 is NO JOKE:
"A Howard County has seen its first death due to COVID-19. According to the Howard County Health Department, the local resident was 60-years-old, had other underlying health conditions and had been hospitalized after contracting the virus. No other information about the resident was provided.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the loved ones of the Howard County resident who lost their life as a result of COVID-19,” Howard County Health Officer Dr. Don Zent said in a press release. “It is imperative the community continues to abide by the CDC guidelines in order to protect our most vulnerable residents and allow the healthcare community to maximize their efforts against this new threat.”
The death marks the 13th in the state, as of Tuesday evening."
Very sad news indeed. I have used and still use many of Jeff's tools and knowledge that he has contributed to the diy speaker building community.
My condolences to his friends and family.
Tony.

A giant in the diy audio world. Led by example with his kindness and willingness to share his knowledge. My condolences to his family and friends.
Jeff Bagby will be missed - his ability to design great sounding speakers accessible to the DIY'er was legendary. That is very sad to lose him at such young age. I learned how to make passive crossovers using his PCD program. Still an awesome piece of software that is very good at what it does.
At some point, given the funds available, I will have a fancy set of solstice, designed by Jeff Bagby.
RIP Jeff, and thank you

This news hits hard for me. One of Jeffs designs is what brought me over to this forum many years ago. You will be sorely missed. RIP Jeff
I planned to make a Jeff Bagby Solstice kit this year.
I researched the web lots before settling on this one.
Purchased parts in USA earlier this year and was hoping to get my hands on the kit but the Corona Virus has deferred all that.
I have heard Mr Jeff Bagby was a skilled designer and very helpful nature.
These are 2 traits that are so hard to find.
The DiY community will miss you.
RIP sir.
