Wow, I was saddened to see this thread - my condolences to Simon and family - but also my best regards to one of the Greats in this hobby. When I started with this DIY addiction(!), only a few years ago, I was soon drawn to his GEM amplifier. Although I didn't build one for myself I learned a good deal from reading his design notes and I gained not only knowledge but some of his enthusiasm for the art.

Graham's death is a great loss to the Audiophile community. Many of us remember with gratitude his contribution to the field of Audio.
I am at present using a pair of his GEM 25s,slightly modified, as I only need 12 Watts, the best sounding amps.I have built to date.
As our friends in the Salvation Army would say :" Promoted to Glory"

R.I.P Graham

This is news to me, at this late date, and I am saddened today and so I write this today. I emailed Graham circa 2011 about possibly building a GEM 100. He was very helpful over weeks or months. Now knowing of his passing I feel compelled to build one in his honor.
