Wow, I was saddened to see this thread - my condolences to Simon and family - but also my best regards to one of the Greats in this hobby. When I started with this DIY addiction(!), only a few years ago, I was soon drawn to his GEM amplifier. Although I didn't build one for myself I learned a good deal from reading his design notes and I gained not only knowledge but some of his enthusiasm for the art.
Simon, thank you for joining us and offering an insight to the part of his life we might not otherwise know about.
Peace be with you.
Peace be with you.
I'm new enough to this forum but I seem to come by Grahams posts often.
We obviously shared some similar interests and in this part of the world, at this stage of my life, that's a rarity.
Rip mate.

Graham's death is a great loss to the Audiophile community. Many of us remember with gratitude his contribution to the field of Audio.
I am at present using a pair of his GEM 25s,slightly modified, as I only need 12 Watts, the best sounding amps.I have built to date.
As our friends in the Salvation Army would say :" Promoted to Glory"

This is news to me, at this late date, and I am saddened today and so I write this today. I emailed Graham circa 2011 about possibly building a GEM 100. He was very helpful over weeks or months. Now knowing of his passing I feel compelled to build one in his honor.
