Final update,
Ignore...just for interest.
The input resistors are 22K and 1Meg magnetic tantalum.
Coupling cap is .22 400V Kimber Kap.
The cathode capacitor on EL84 is silmic 100uF
Everything else is as show in post 51#
There is no capacitor across the primary of the OP Tx.
The only difference is I have now grounded the one side of the secondary of the output transformer to the speaker to give protection should an internal short occur.
The 1 K across the output is Kiwame 5W and stays.
The grid stopper on G2 is set at 300 Ohm to give the spec current on G2 as discussed earlier (this needs setting)..ie its drawing the current as shown in the spec sheet for SE operation. (post 48#)
Pentode gives a smoother sound..the ES/UL gives a more focused sound.
