I plan to try it instead of the op-amp stage.Very nice. Let us know how you get on with it, Ray. Will you replace the opamp circuit with this, or will this just be used as an additional buffer?
I had another listen to the RTZ DAC today - you know, the more I listen the more I like it.
It will be really interesting to hear how the valve output stage works with it to contrast with Marcel's op-amp, which certainly delivers excellent results.
This DAC has got to be a must-have for me.

pgour - 1 setLooking forward to a possible Group Buy for RTZ DAC boards, it will be useful to get an idea of the level of interest from fellow audio DIY'ers so, if that's you, maybe you could add your name to the list below;

Marcel, will you rationalise the PCB to remove the pads for the NST45011 devices?The measured noise of the bandgap reference with BCM56DS is smaller than the calculated noise with the NST45011, so the BCM's are the winner.
Possible Group Buy Interest.

I left them in so far just in case the BCM56DS goes in short supply, but maybe that's unnecessary considering that Mouser still has tens of thousands of BCM56DS in stock.Marcel, will you rationalise the PCB to remove the pads for the NST45011 devices?
I've almost finished breadboarding the valve output stage, the 1800pF caps arrived yesterday so I may be able to get it up and running in the next weekend or two.

I think way more for full equiped board?I thought there might be a bit more interest but still good for a small batch of PCBs.
