........inside a shed in the garden. Messy job emptying it out when full, which is why we wait until almost overflowing.
Oh..you do? Like REALLY?Funnily enough I was asked once by a delivery man in Chicago if we had electricity in England!
Charles Hansen [1513] is right, and that is what the majority of all master audio designers think.
Hmm John, you left out the "self proclaimed". ;-)
When he and I talk, we discuss audio differences in components, topologies, and everything else that we have found that makes a difference sonically.
Well, that would be what some who are probably from the pre-psychacoustics era of audio call "a difference sonically".
We are competitors along with a few others in attempting to make the best sound possible from the designs we make, and we sometimes win or lose to each other, just like drivers or designers in an F1 auto race. Competition keeps us strong and on our toes.
Not quite the unique tiny clique that some think. Getting the best possible sound involves far more than electronics, it involves rooms and loudspeakers and the whole art and science of recording.
Nothing wrong with people who find those areas outside their interest or capabilities. Specialization can help if people know their places.
Those who don't believe much in audio differences are of little concern to us.
Obsession with sub-ppm levels of noise, FR and distortion is evidence of inability to distinguish between which levels of them which are audible, and that which are not. To bad about those who do not.
If you can't tell the difference, then even minuscule amounts of them are likely to be highly significant in your mind, even though
the real tough 500 pound gorillas in audio are on the other side of the room.
Inside plumbing?
It still has the outhouse. You can see where the copper used to go and where they filled in the pit. Still not on mains sewerage.
Due to the climate in UK a lot of modern stuff is over rated. Certainly never missed central heating in houses that didn't have it.

From what I saw when I was there 40 years ago, in the UK and W Germany it looked like the engineering was redone after the war because so much got trashed by the war. In the good Ole USA our home electrical distribution systems are still pretty much what they were before the war, yeah the second one.
For example my apartment in Bavaria like its neighbors was wired for 416 3 phase, while in the US voltages that high and more than a single phase are rare in residences. More voltage and more phases makes lots of home appliances far more efficient.

Around here we use the modern methods. We dig a new hole and move the building. Some fussy folks even cover the old hole!

The reference material you offer is proprietary!
Ok, I get it, the reference material you offer is proprietary, if I pay $26 for the magazine and $6 for shipping maybe in 6 weeks I will receive a plain brown package in the mail.
Meanwhile all we have is the Ap plot posted her to stand on its own. The fundamental, 1K hz is 75 db’s down. That means the typical preamp volume control would be at the minimum position. The harmonics are all down below -100db, down in the weeds with the noise.
Oh by the way why is there no noise included in the Ap plot? I suspect lots of smoothing and long sample times to isolate the harmonics. I also suspect that the real time noise will consume the harmonics, real or not.

I don't owe you anything particularly as you are too lazy to even do a simple search.
Credibility? To a troll? Not an issue.

.........you know, we had to build a shed around ours. [Those neighbour hood petitions are pretty powerful these days.....and do you know what..the Judge agreed with them! LiaB!]
But don't be too sympathetic; the public collection bought me a JC amp (used) as I re-erected a used shed. [Now the neighbours are starting a petition under noise abatement by-laws]

My nephew's boys aged 5 and 7 in a ride in our VW campervan, said to my sister, "do they have a house to live in?".

Togetherness...
You know Scott....there really was one of those near the house in which I was raised in Ireland. And I guess it is still there. 🙂
[My father was an Episcopalian cleric and the house was a vast George III rectory some 300 yards from the Church. There was a path through trees between the two, and in those trees was a shed with one of those, but a two seater which lacked the plastic seats. There was a mahogany bench seat with two perfectly drilled holes.]
When the septic system becomes interactive, it's no fun.
But I'll bet the fertilizer makes for a beautiful garden with some bushes for privacy.

They aren't that greedy. The articles are available singly for a few bucks, and you can download them.
If this bothers you, perhaps you need to deal with the guys who sell traditional professional journals. AES papers are $20 each for non-members, for example.
Does anyone want to guide the troll or will it go away if ignored?
Bill you weren't around to see where Bruce H. cribbed his stuff.

Arnyk, I have to define world recognized audio designers as something. 'Master', 'Expert', or 'Recognized' or something like that is appropriate.
houses that didn't have it.
Odd, my cranial insanity still reads Enge-land of bygone days, as on the forefront of innovation in domestic heating and ventilation.
(plus a lot of other areas. alas no more for quite a bunch of years, to my dismay)
Enge-land of bygone days
You mean the days when they could play football?

Maybe not, but it was certainly being talked about in 1988 in a lecture I was given by either AD or Natsemi, so suggests that how to do precision analogue right was all sorted at least a decade earlier, probably long before that. Nothing new under the sun and all that.
As a fresh faced undergrad I did wonder why no one in domestic audio used the std instrumentation front end for pre-amps. The penny didn't drop for a few years.

Well as I point out to the wife. Her ancestors were building amazing temples whilst mine still handn't worked out that chimneys were a real good idea and still thought bullsh*t was a great building material.
