The special bits of Allen Wrights amplifier is the front end... this can be mated with a whole range of output stages... i'm building an EL84 version. Just take his front end and the PP output stage from your choice of amp...

The deluxe version of the amp would also use a constant current source on the cathodes of the output stage & use a SuperReg for the B+ of the diff stage (i'm going to use that same B+ on my output stage as well -- adequately heatsinked Allen says the SuperReg can deliver 3/4 of an amp.
