Nothing to be puzzled about really, it was a no-feedback design,..the first of it's kind supposedly. I have no knowlwdge of the particulars such as DC offset nulling, etc. Maybe it had none. It was known to be biased extremely high as well. I seem to recall it was done by a 21 y.o. which made it all that much more interesting. Too bad he didn't have a bit more experience at such things, no telling how it would have turned out then. I always wondered why the designer disappeared after that.
