Exact same issue. No burn marks on PCBs. Contacted Klipsch customer support - ZERO help. Anyone have an odea on where to look?On the R-112sw, does anyone know what's causing the "thump" or slow heartbeat when it's ONLY plugged into the wall? Nothing else connected, just the power cord. If it's related to the same R39 caps issue, let me know. Thanks!
came home to my R-112SW not functioning. was very upset, i love my subwoofer. discovered it was left in the 'on' position when i usually leave it on 'auto' 24/7, definitely going to heed more caution and try to turn it off every night from now on. unplugging it brought it back to life for the night, until i get up the next morning, LED is off and it was not functioning again. i opened it up and everything looks good? caps testing good? even the usual suspect resistors look good? i put it back together after brushing the dust off the board and doing those tests and it's working again. i'm left wondering what exactly is going on here?
if it is going to continuously act up i'll be ordering a replacement amp come shortly, but hopefully the diligent practice of turning it off when i have to will give me some more life out of it in the time being. i am definitely not scraping all that goo crap off to do repairs.
if researching Klipsch for a purchase brought you here: yeah they are fine and slam great for the price but you'll be in our shoes eventually; (more expensive but consider SVS brand instead! consider that going with Klipsch you'll be spending at least $125 years later replacing the board--and maybe even again if it dies once more; put that money against an initial purchase of something better!)
going to leave all these photos here, maybe they will help someone else. good luck everyone.

leave in ON position, unplug AC cable from amp, bridge the AC power forks with your finger for 30 secs to a minute, turn power to OFF position, replug cable, try to power it on, if nothing try again. that is what i did more than several times to get my R-112SW to power on again. best of luck to you.R115SW
My subwoofer power cuts off at average gain. Please help.
I just did a SMPS repair on an SPL-150 plate amp, it's running, all the voltages and line current looks OK, but the MOSFETs on the PSU run awful warm, even when not under heavy load. I generally see resonant SMPS's run really cool. anyone know if this is normal?
