Questions about compression drivers

Through all this S#!T and farting around no one seemed to notice that the OP who is in a band and seems to be able to run the equipment stated that he was told he needed caps to protect the CD's. Now it makes me wonder whether/ why he does not understand the function of an active
crossover and/or, he is an easy "mark" for some shiester to sell a few probably over-priced capacitors to.
Most of this conversation on caps really didn't need to happen seeing as he has the Samson.

$8 cap or $150 diaphragm; take your pick.

S-3 way?

See P.7 here:

NOTE: LAST ON / FIRST OFF
When running a loudspeaker system with one or multiple power amplifiers, it is highly recommended that you follow the LAST ON / FIRST OFF rule. When powering up your sound system, turn your power amplifier on last. When you power down your system, turn your power amplifiers off first. This will prevent any switching spikes you may get from other gear in your system, and help prevent unnecessary speaker damage.

[The prosecution rests.... 😉 ]

.
First: "Find them JBL SR light bulbs here"

Then you post a worthless link to 1000 manuals - by your own statement.

Then you say " I don't do lightbulbs"

WTF are you doing man? Is this how you go about helping people?

And it's hard to imagine $150 diaphragms on $100 drivers... btw & fwiw. Funny stuff.

No one said NOT to use a "cap", so who are you talking to?

Still waiting for links to your work... and I don't mean the "Econowave" thingie either...

Cheers, mate! 😀
