Agree for the lateral fets good sound.
I also use these ones in my usual amp, so perhaps there s
some biaising in my opinion...

THD of this Quadral is at most 0.03% in the audio band at 20W RMS/8R,
whatever the frequency, so that s quite good.

Basically, the Hafler 220 has the same topology as this one,
safe the cascodes over the input differentials and the compensation
that is different, and of course, it s a non inverting amp !...

When well designed, those symetrical differentials amp perform
very well , although getting ultra low THD ratio is not as easy
as in a blameless style, and require an inflated component count,
but it has large other advantages over the usual single differentials
amps that are surely 98% of all the designs made these last 35 years.

I have a question about these dual LTPs.
There are two topologies.
One, such as the Quadral, has its tails sourced from opposite rails.
In the other one, the LTPs are joined together in the middle, serial connected.
What are the pros and cons of these two topologies.
Is there one you prefer?

Frankly, i only dealt with non serial ones,
so i can hardly give an opinion about the other variant,
but at first look, i would say that connecting the two
differentials in serie bring nothing good, to the contrary.
That said, i ll check the outcomes of such an arrangement.
