I would say that if you have dry inner climate the bulb flashes shall be every 30 seconds or more.
During winter time, up to one minute.
If the panels are super clean and the membrane is mechanically tight (well centered when fully charged) and the air really dry then you stand "forewer" and never see the flash.
If the opposite is true then i have seen R12 to get hot and melting away all wax.. and even get burnt off.
