If you can identify the digital supplies. Oscons should suit.

Yep, next step for me will be a bigger supply smoothing cap and trying some op amps by replacing the current one with a dip 8 socket!
Hi Digit has arrived and compared to my Chinese dac.
The digit seems a little less realistic and has less ambiance.
It holds it's own fairly well though which bodes well for a little modding.
I think a lot of the difference will be the op-amp.
First job replace the 5532 with a brown dogged pair of 627s.

Interested to know how that goes. Op amp and power cap next for me. not seen those adapters before!
Well, found 5 mins to swap the op amp for an LME49720 today (my first op amp swap!)

Hi I've swapped the 627s into the Digit and changed the smoothing caps to Panasonic FC.
Quite a diffrerence and it's looking good to carry on modding.
If I whip the 5v reg out, can I replace it with a Flea power supply.

Hi Taff, kept the same size caps but used Panasonic FC.
Not tested the caps mod yet but there should be a little difference as Panasonic FC's are good for smoothing in my experience although Oscons are good for digital supplies so I may change one.
I've found that a standard design of power supply, transformer, rectifier, caps, is probably best to power the Digit. I'm making two supplies and using this thread for the regulator and cap mods.🙂
