Very interesting, congratulations for your effort and results.
I have done the same on several DAC's and the benefits are more than obvious.
Unfortunately digital technology hardware vendors are not taking power supply very seriously yet... but i believe it's a matter of time.

Thanks, yes you are of the same mindset as me but we are a minority voice, I'm afraid.
Forget about hardware vendors - they will mostly react to consumer demand Vs budgetary constraints. What is really depressing is the attitude of a lot of the vocal members on this forum. I have been attacked for giving advice on how to improve the Vbus supply for digital devices. I have been involved in too many such arguments to believe that manufacturers will make any pre-emptive action in this area. C'est la vie.
Let me know if you do these mods & your results.

I really can't imagine a reason for attacking here. After all, anyone can try it and then write down his results, it's not philosophy 🙂
Anyway, i will try and tell you, thanks once again...

The core player (command line) is written in C and can be easily compiled for Linux but for a GUI i am afraid it's going to take long due to lack of time. If someone wants to give it a try please pm or email me to give him the code.
Wish i could do it but I just don't have the skills....
appreciate your efforts so far - it sounds very good.

Npetralias,
have you seen my source for the window interface ?
Should be very simple for you integrate it

Also for me the sound with Pureplayer is better than Foobar 2000.
I have tested only some 96KHz 24bit flac tracks.

Interface looks neat but it doesn't play Flac or WAV files for me - just says processing with play button staying at red & never going green. I'm using Win 7.
I'm sorry, it is playing, Doh!!
Neat that it retains control in the Pureplayer screen now. Is it still using the same playback engine? Any changes? Does it still play >16/44 WAV by using SOX?
Well Done

Yes with a few speed-up optimizations
A lot, some of them: wma support, french character support, CD drive auto detection, play-stop-next-prev and a lot of fixed bugs 🙂Any changes?
Yes, i believe it's not that critical...Does it still play >16/44 WAV by using SOX?
Wow, this time, Niko, it's no more a mock up !
I think too it has something more clear than foobar, but it's a liitle bit in the subjective domain.
great job

Lovely job. I'm really quite impressed with this.....
Something I noticed - it will play lower level wma fine, but not wma lossless.
Just letting you know!

Have you tried Foobar with WASAPI running from RAM drive?
