Well I started on my projector tonight. Bought a 500 watt construction light (cheaper than buying seperate) and fresnel (hope I spelt that right) and some switches and wire from a local Canadian Tire all for $80. I had some wood left over from one of my Dads kitchens that he builds, and begain cuting. I went for a straight projctor. No mirrors. And no plans. Here is a pic of what it looked like after I put a couple of pieces together.

since i was stupid and lazy, I didnt upload my picures everyday. So you will be seeing all my pics from start to finish (2 days worth). Now, back to the projector. Since I am useing a powerful lamp I put it out side to help keep the temperature down a bit. I also have a 120v fan from an old slide projector above the light to help cool the beast.

Next I went on to wireing. I first ran the power to one switch that turns on the fan and power to the next switch. And the second switch turns on the Lcd and the Light. This way you need to have the fan on to turn on the lcd. To wire up the light and lcd I ran some wire to an electrical box outside the projector, this way it was away from heat.

sweet..
Can't wait to see your result pics, sure to be bright ! I have experience with one of those style lighting sets, they are SUPER HOT, So be careful, I hope it does not cook your psone lcd screen, anyway putting a fan near it may help, keep us posted ....

yeh it is too small. Makes the edges of my picture a bit blurry. What is a good lens that I can get shipped to Canada?

SELLING OUT!!!!!!!
Well, I'm going the OHP and panel route so if anybody is interested i'm going to sell my last PSX lcd with real sony power supply, my cooling fans......my projection lenses, and anything else i have from my original project.......i'm at work now so when i get home i'll put up a more detailed list.......
After I tire of the ohp and panel setup i'll probably sell that and get into more involved stuff....but with the time and money i have now this is it

any good lenses out there boys?..and girls? Anything that would be good for a ps1 lcd giving roughly about a 70" picture and about 10 feet away. What have others used for ps1 projectors?
Any input would be nice.
Rob
ill put up pics later to show why i need a bigger lens.

hold up a sec..
It just dawned on me.. i forgot to do the brightness mod!. Now i dont want to get this one wrong so what do i solder onto again? is it ps2 or ps1?..if anyone has a pic or something please post it. Ive also heard of thanking off the anti glare sheet by putting the lcd on a damp paper towel. Any input on that one would be nice.
