Hi
Please help with my new project.
Drivers:
1. Wavecor TW030WA05-01 (4 Ohm)
2. Visaton W 200 S/4 (4 Ohm)
Cabinet diagram:
Crossover scheme:
Result:
I used the simulation program: Boxsim
I think the schedule can be improved, the question is how?
Thx.

I downloaded and checked your simulations and there is an error. I see you changed some tweeter parameters, but you didnt change freq. response and impedance data, so Boxsim is still working with spl & impedance from Visaton G20SC tweeter, giving false results.
Fortunately, Wavecor have download site with frequency and impedance response txt files which are very easy to import into Boxsim, so you can get correct freq & imp simulations.
I imported and changed all necessary data for Wavecor TW030WA05 and made some basic crossover arrangement which gives deacent results. Wavecor TW030WA05 can be used from 1500Hz, so I took it for xo frequency beacuse W200S is a woofer so it should be crossed low.
Inductors values are imported from Visaton part list inside Boxsim. If you decide to use this crossover you should get inductors from Visaton.
Capacitors and resistors are all standard values, so you can use any brand.
Sorry, I have no time for more elaborate crossover, but you can download everything in this zip file and try to improve it if you like. My recommendation is to keep it simple.

Thank you very much for your work. I'll be sure to post in that thread when I'm done with the project.
Regarding the frequency of 1500 - I have some caution that the tweeter will work at the limit of its capabilities. I decided to slightly shift the frequency closer to 2000 (maybe I'm wrong?).
Thank you very much for your help!
Thank you.

Yes, higher XO point is more safe for tweeter, especially if you like loud listening at long periods od time.
I took 1500Hz point beacuse W 200 S is problematic above 1Khz, so my preference is to cutoff as low as tweeter permits for better transition between drivers.
Your modified version in post #10 will work nice, so you decide which compromise is better for you.
Iam glad my suggestion was helpful and wish you luck with your built!

with a 3.order crossover and a voltage divider (two res) in front of the tw030 it is
possible to go low as 1kHz.
afaik there are a few examples, e.g. in the german speaker builder magazine klang&ton (a 2way design
with 2.oder for the woofer and 3.order for tw030 with res - combo........)

Thank You!out of couriosity i made a ("optimised") sim with davor d. `s crossover.........
(the dotted lines are davors version)
looks good.
Hello dear friends
I continue the project, but with changes.
