Hello
As I finished the next preamplifier I wanted to share the project on the forum
The PGA2311 device is a high-performance, stereo
audio volume control designed for professional and
high-end consumer audio systems. The PGA2311
uses an internal high-performance operational
amplifier to yield low noise and distortion.
Device functions:
- Volume adjustment -95.5dB to + 31.5dB with a step of 0.5dB
- Volume control with remote control and encoder
- Balance adjustment (remote control and encoder control)
- Mute function (remote control)
-ON / OFF (remote control and switch control)
- Memorizing settings after switching off
- Real time clock + date based on PCF8583
-Cooperation with popular 2x16 displays with HD44780 driver.
- RC5 pilot (each Philips)
- Input select (5 sources)
The program was written in Bascom, it takes 51% of the memory
Fuse bits set on internal 8Mhz dnt forgot turnoff JTAG
ps.
I am asking for opinions what you think about such a device

Mine is gathering dust, as its audio delivery is very poor in comparison to what I use.
Way to step on a guys hard work and offer no useful criticism just to plug your own kit. Come on now... is your intention to disgrace yourself?
OP:
Kudos to you. I haven’t used PGA2311 chips, but it looks like you’ve put a lot of work into it.
What’s the precision on the volume tracking?
Do you have gain or a buffer?
It has appeal to me as sort of a cost effective /minimalist amb a10 without too much in the way of sacrifice.
I’ve seen some similar implementations, one was a group buy I think here a while back.
I’m assuming you used that to inform your design? If so where do you attempt to optimize? What were your goals?
Could you post some performance measurements?

Bump.
This thread lacked visibility after intrusions and I hope this might give it notice to those interested in such.

Will the code work with an OLED display?
Also if you could post the zip contents separately, it would be helpful for us who use phones / tablets and can’t unpack the zip.
