I built a stereo/pair of the cascode schematic using the non-doubled supply. It turned out to be 184 volts under load, so a little higher than I remembered. The only thing I changed was the cathode bypass cap since I didn't have a 150uF on hand. I put a 330uF in instead. I took two 6GC5s and triode-strapped them for the output. That was suggested earlier for 6V6s and I happened to have two 2.5k edcor OPTs very similar to the 12k ones I just ordered. These are just the SE version of the same series. It sounds really nice. Fat and punchy I guess but that's what I like. Current is still a little low but this is night and day better than the resistance coupled circuit that I played with earlier. I can still build that and take measurements if it would be helpful.
