so by the looks of it, yours is a mechanical problem, to be solved by mechanical methods..

notice that single ended tube amps are Class A and power is constant whether playing music or simply turned on...

70w/198va is a mere, 35% utilization, but with all things tube single ended, they try to overbuild things and for the simple reason of heat....

you can even get a power traffo 6*70 or 420 watts and that would have been valid.....
i am not saying you should, but i mean you could if you have deeper wallets...

Thanks. I came here for a sanity check and that's what I got. I'm wondering if something wiggled loose from numerous thermal expansion cycles. I've been using it every day for hours on end since I built it about a month ago.

tubes do require maintenance from time to time.....
that is why tubes are socketed so you can easily replace them...

you can also use square rubber pads with holes, or even strong rubber grommets to mount your traffo, 6mm thick is okay..

Yeah, I mean I just designed this over the past few months and finally built it a month ago. Everything is brand new. It's possible something is defective, or as many people here suggested, mine is just a cheap POS 😀
